Does it work internationally?
The Kurø kettle is designed for US outlets only (120V). It is not compatible with international voltage (220–240V) without a converter, and we don't recommend using one as it can damage the unit. For US travel and domestic hotel stays, it works perfectly.

How long does it take to boil water?
At full capacity (13.5oz), expect around 7–10 minutes to reach 212°F. It's not instant — but it's quiet enough to run while you unpack and ready by the time you are. For lower temperatures like 176°F, you'll get there in 5–7 minutes.

Can I use it as a travel mug or water bottle?
We'd recommend against it. The Kurø is designed specifically for boiling water and pouring into your cup of choice. Using it as a carry cup risks spills and can stain the stainless steel interior over time.

Will it leak in my bag?
The lid is sealed and leak-proof — it holds even when turned completely upside down. That said, we always recommend emptying it fully before packing it in your luggage.

Can I boil liquids other than water?
No — the Kurø is designed for water only. Heating milk, broth, or other liquids can damage the heating element and void any warranty.

How loud is it?
Quieter than you'd expect. Independent testing puts it at around 62dB at peak — roughly the volume of a normal conversation. You can comfortably run it in a hotel room without disturbing anyone.

Is the inside plastic or metal?
The interior is food-grade 304 stainless steel with a seamless design — no plastic lining, no coatings. The outer shell is PP plastic which stays cool to the touch while boiling.

What's in the box?
The Kurø kettle body and a detachable power cord. The cord uses a standard "mickey mouse" connector, so you can leave it at home and use your laptop cord if you prefer to pack light.
